Sobre Clase (about class)
Language is best learned in an immersive environment. Spanish is extremely prevalent in our world and half of learning a language is learning to be patient with oneself. Our goal in class is to come as close to 90% Target Language as possible. Students are expected to come to class ready to listen and participate when called upon. Sixth Grade
Right now, we are discussing animals and will be using this knowledge to expand our knowledge of descriptive words and sentence structures. These will be helpful foundations for the rest of the year. Seventh Grade
We are reviewing last year's materials such as greetings and talking about the weather and climate. We will be moving onto Hispanic Heritage month. Our first project will be to be able to be newscasters in Spanish during class. 8th Grade
In class, we are reviewing Spanish vocabulary. We are using our time in class to learn more about Hispanic culture in accordance with Hispanic Heritage month which runs from September 15 through October 15th. We will be using this information to make our study of topics throughout the year more meaningful. Each student will also be making a project about a famous Hispanic person from the past or present. This assignment will be outlined in the syllabus. |
